Italy Weeks 1 and 2






Well the class is done and we all had a great time. As it turns out, I was so busy with the group activities and photography that I never followed through on my experiment in the post below. I'll try to do better for the rest of the trip. In the mean time, here is a little time-lapse video I shot in Orvieto. This is the kind of stuff the new digital SLR's can do. I really am blown away by the quality of this new camera. video

DSLR -- What are you shooting with? I use a Nikon D80/power grip as though it were a D3X. I am, too, blown away by the quality of the newer digital image sensors. I still prefer film, but the digital process is much more cheaper for graphic designing. and not to mention using Photoshop as a darkroom is a little cheaper than replenishing chemicals. now, If only my camera had the "bulb" setting...

I have the Canon 7D. It's absolutely amazing.
